Netcare Umhlanga Hospital - Technical Department
The Technical Clerk will be required to work as a member of a dynamic team in a highly stressful and exceptionally high volume environment, focusing on exceptional customer service.
•Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change is essential •Operator of the MyMarket system by purchasing of consumables and materials and alternatively receiving of goods on the program •Administering of stores and ensuring stock is maintained at acceptable levels. •Maintain a log book ensuring the control of staff usage of all power tools •Ensure all activated alarms are recorded in the relevant log book •Maintain a clean and tidy working environment including related areas •Custodian of the SAP CMMS and all Technical Department Documents •Answering of telephones and assist with the resolving of queries. •Administrative duties, which includes but not limited to: •Managing Works orders and Preventative Maintenance Schedules and capturing thereof •Ensuring that Technical Staff and Contractors fulfil and capture their duties correctly and timeously •Assist in budget management and reporting thereof •Ensure Contractor invoices are correct, approved by the Technical Manager and sent through to Finance for payment
Ensure all contractors receive identity badges before commencing work within the hospital. •Ensure the Technical Manager is kelp abreast of staff’s leave, sick leave or other leave. •Assisting the technical Manager with administrative functions relating to the Technical Department •Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team is essential •Must be flexible with working hours •Ability to work effectively and co-operatively with others through establishing and maintaining good working relationships •Displaying a good customer-focus by developing and sustaining excellent customer relationships •Ability to communicate well at all levels (both written and verbal) •Takes accountability and ensures work is completed efficiently by managing own time and resources appropriately •Be computer literate •Maintaining a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge by keeping abreast of current development and trends in the medical related field impacting on the post •Performs general administration •The ability to multi task and work at a fast pace.
Education:
Matric/Grade 12
Previous experience in a Hospital Environment
Skills and Duties:
General administration duties.
Previous experience in a hospital environment would be advantageous
Computer literacy on Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Internet
Excellent Telephone Etiquette
Computer literacy on Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Internet is a pre-requisite
