Minimum RequirementsMatric Marketing and sales diploma (preferable) Valid Code EB drivers’ licence 1 to 2 years merchandising experience
Duties & Responsibilities1.Merchandising Create product displays as per the seasonal cycles and discount offers. Adhere to accepted merchandising standards/in-store planograms are maintained. Create product displays as per the store floor plan. Ensure defective, invested stock or old products are removed and new products are properly stacked and displayed. Install banners, posters, displays, flags, etc in the store. Check the product stocking, merchandising and display systems. Interact regularly with all store staff to keep them informed about upcoming store projects and timelines. Monitor stock on shelf in line with Shelf Health Elements: -Full Shelves at all times -Best Shelf Position -The right forward Share -PI Labels present & correct -Stock Rotation (FIFO) -Spotless Shelves -Product Quality Obsession -Returns Target Management Ensure stock counts are updated in the store data system Ensure short dated stock reports are completed and reported Ensure product returns are completed as per the Uplift Procedure Follow the correct authorisation procedure for products that need to be uplifted 2.Team Coordination and Self-Management Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, prioritising and self-development. Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained. Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution. Support and drive the business core values. Manage colleagues and clients’ expectations and communicate appropriately. Demonstrate willingness to help others and “go the extra mile” to meet team targets and objectives. Champion training and development of self through utilising available training opportunities Participate in and drive regular performance appraisals and ensure that own targets and goals are clear and achievable.
